The name of the project. Not necessarily the official title of the project as many times the title is not decided at this point. It is helpful to include the location of the project here, for example, "Concord, MA" would be a good project name.
The business name of the client. Not the individual we are working with.
Select one of the client type options.
Who is taking the risk on the project?
This is important for the purpose of scheduling at press, so it needs to be more than a guess. Use the proposal spreadsheet as a starting point but be sure to feel out the client to gauge how many copies they are likely to order.
If the project is only a go if a certain event happens, like a team winning a championship, indicate as such here.
If "yes" was selected for "Contingent on Outcome," what are the details of the contingency? What must happen for the book to be a go?
Has the client been informed we use a project management system called Basecamp? Is the client also aware the project coordinator, Chris, will be in touch to get everything setup in Basecamp? If so, answer "yes" and project setup will begin as soon as possible. If not, project setup will wait until the client is made aware of Basecamp.
Assuming the client is ready for Basecamp (previous field), we try to get a new project setup within 48 hours or so. If the project requires a setup quicker than that, please select "yes" for rush setup.
This project field should pre-fill with the correct project. If not, please select the project for which you are filling out this form.
